Magura Cave is a maze of 3 km length with majestic halls. This is one of the most beautiful Bulgarian caves, located near the village of Rabische, near Vidin. Magura cave is known for its rock paintings, the unique monument of primitive art in the south eastern Europe. The cave has been known and studied already in the time of the Roman Empire and the Middle Ages. There are several spacious rooms. The largest is the Hall of Triumph. Its height is 30 m, width - 58, length - 130 m. The great number of stalactites, stalagmites and stalactons create whimsical figures and compositions. Some of them are of amazing size, in addition to its beauty. The biggest stalacton has a height of 20 m and a diameter of 4 m. The biggest stalagmite, found while a study of the Bulgarian caves has a foundation with diameter of 6 m, a length of 11 m. The caves once were inhabited by people. In some rooms one can see rock paintings of the Bronze Age. Scientists discovered that people lived there in the late Paleolithic era - 100 000 - 40 000 BC.
