These questions and others will be discussed by renowned medical experts from around the world when they meet at the World Health Summit in Berlin from October 21st – 24th.

The international World Health Summit, which is of similar importance to the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, has as its motto “Research for Health and Sustainable Development“. 1,500 medical experts from about 90 nations are expected in Berlin. The speakers and debaters include, among others, Peter Seeberger, malaria expert from the Max-Planck Institute in Potsdam, Peter Piot, co-discoverer of the Ebola virus, the Nobel Prize winners Peter Agre, Gerd Binnig and Aaron Ciechanover and Pulitzer Prize winner Laurie Garrett.

The World Health Summit was established in 2009 by the Charité University Hospital in Berlin. The aim of the event is to discuss the major challenges of the future together with representatives of research, academic medicine and the health care sector.
