Traditions of Buddhist festival do not change for thousands of years, and today it remains a vivid manifestation of faith - an important part of Bhutanese life

Tourism in Bhutan. Buddhist festival is annually held here in April. It is called «Paro Tsechu». People put on traditional costumes, thus confirming their affiliation to Buddhist faith, and, of course, receive a blessing. At this festival inside of Paro Dzong fortress unforgettable theatrical and dance performances, involving both the laity and Buddhist monks, clad in masks and sumptuous costumes can be seen - for them it is an act of common meditation. Rituals, accompanied by sounds of flutes, trumpets and cymbals, tell of a victory of the Good over the Evil. Dances are transformed into folk songs and comedies, a large amount of alcohol and oil tea is drunk. The most important for believers thing happens in the last day, when at dawn thousands of people get together for pray.
