Designed by Prince Narai it is one of the most beautiful temples and a major tourist attraction in Bangkok. Wat Benchamabophit is a Buddhist temple in the Dusit district of Bangkok.

Wat Benchamabophit is named the Marble Temple because of the white Carrara marble of which it is built. The Marble Temple is the most modern and one of the most beautiful of Bangkok's royal wats. It was designed by Prince Narai, half brother to King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, and has been esteemed for its architectural and decorative arts of finest Thai craftsmanship. Today, Marble Temple is not only a magnificent temple, but a seat of knowledge that appeals to Buddhist monks with intellectual yearnings.
The main structure at Wat Benchamabophit is the Ubosoth Hall. At the cloister of the Ubosoth 52 Buddha images are kept. Some are original and have been brought here from all corners of the Kingdom and from abroad. Others are copies from important Buddha images. There are many other buildings connected through pleasant walkways in the Wat Benchamabophit complex. They include Song Phanuat Hall (residence of the abbot), Song Dharm Hall (used for lying in state of members of the Royal family, and high officials), the Bovornvong Bell Tower. One should also to have a short stroll through the colorful monks’ abodes.
