Riviera revealed at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum

The Barbican reveals programme for spring and summer season 2013

Carnaby launches live music festival

A one day music festival ‘Carnaby Sounds’ will be held in Carnaby, on Saturday 6 July from 12 – 7pm as part of the area’s year-long celebrations of music heritage.This FREE consumer event will feature live music from musicians, artists and bands covering a range of music genres that have been playing in Carnaby over the last 10 decades, from Jazz and Blues to Mod, Urban and Rock. Ametsa with Arzak Instruction – opening at The Halkin by COMO, London this March

The highly anticipated Ametsa with Arzak Instruction opened at The Halkin by COMO on 8th March. This is the first outpost of the original three Michelin-starred Arzak restaurant in San Sebastian run by a team of five including Elena Arzak, voted Veuve Clicquot World’s Best Female Chef. Ametsa’s approach is rooted in the traditions of ‘New Basque Cuisine’, pairing earthy flavours and Basque techniques with a modern twist. Interiors will reflect Basque heritage and embrace COMO’s tradition of contemporary design. Ametsa will seat up to 70 guests and can be hired with the adjoining Private Dining Room for private dinners and events.

Now previewing: Once at the Phoenix Theatre

Excitement is building in the West End as the eight-time Tony award-winning production of Once comes to London. Previewing from 16 March at the Phoenix Theatre, and currently booking till 30 November, Once is based on the 2007 motion picture, and is a celebration of love, friendship and music. Telling the story of an Irish busker and a young Czech mother, and their meeting through a shared love of music, a deep connection and tender longing romance sparks from their love of songwriting.

Before The Party will preview at the Almeida Theatre from 21 March. Telling the story of the Skinner family who try to return to a normal life after the war, dealing with government rations and social status, Before The Party is based on the short story by Somerset Maugham.

2013 is a special year for the Museum of London Docklands as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. A decade after launching in a Georgian warehouse on West India Quay, the museum is bringing together film, paintings, photography and screen prints by fourteen renowned and up-and-coming artists in a new exhibition which explores the outer limits of the Thames, where the river becomes the sea. Limited mobility tours at Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens

Liberty Drives is a free transportation service for individuals with disabilities and limited mobility who wish to visit Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. The service operates May through October, Monday - Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and advance booking is recommended. Each Liberty Drives electric buggy, has seating for five passengers plus one in a wheelchair so family members and/or caregivers may accompany if desired. Volunteer drivers provide tours lasting 30 to 50 minutes with pick-up at any number of easily identified locations in the park.
