Select the country and object's type Ruisrock Saturday also sold out

45th Ruisrock\'s Friday and Saturday both gathered a giant audience of 35 000 people. Sold out opening day was festival\'s audience record for a Friday, and previously Ruisrock has had a sold out Saturday in 2009.

Historical moments were experienced on Saturday when Ruisrock witnessed first performances of two bands. Animation band Studio Killers, risen into popularity with their dance hits, had their anticipated debut live show in Ruisrock. Audience in the jam-packed Teltta Stage screamed and danced along the visual show equipped with video screens and holograms, with a guest appearance by Jenni Vartiainen in the last song. Hugely popular Pepe & Saimaa, lead by Pepe Willberg and Matti Mikkola, also performed live for the first time on Saturday. Over 60-piece assembly provided a grand show in the evening sun.

British superstar Lily Allen crowned the festival Saturday as the last performer of Niitty Stage and invited thousands of people to party with her. Out of the other international stars Swedish popper Veronica Maggio showed that she has a huge crowd of fans in Finland, and the United States group Future Islands charmed with their first show in Finland.

In the warm weather Saturday was a fest of sing-a-longs. The sea of people enjoyed J. Karjalainen, Haloo Helsinki!, Samuli Putro, Jenni Vartiainen, Popeda, Karri Koira ja Ruudolf and numerous other Finnish top artists. The audience praised the variety of the line up, including rock and pop in addition to jazz of Timo Lassy, alternative rock of Risto, electronic pop of Iisa, rap of DJ Polarsoul and fresh talent like trash metal group Lost Society and party band Roope Salminen ja Koirat. Ruisrock also naturally had a guaranteed show by Michael Monroe.

Tickets for Ruisrock Sunday are still available at Ruiskioski and Tiketti. Festival closing day offers a wide range of performances by international and local stars. Rap favourite Wiz Khalifa, Brit pop pioneer Suede, French indie stars Phoenix, British rock group You Me At Six, Swedish duos Icona Pop and First Aid Kit, and debuting in Finland Tame Impala and The 1975. Louna Stage opens with the super group The Local Band with Finnish rock and metal top names Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom), Jussi69 (The 69 Eyes), Olli Herman (Reckless Love) and Archie Kuosmanen (Santa Cruz). Finnish favourites Vesa-Matti Loiri, Robin, Scandinavian Music Group, Kolmas Nainen and many others top off the final day of Ruisrock.
