Vacations in Algeria would be incomplete without a visit to the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Djemila. In times of antiquity it bore the name of Cuicul. The city is located in a mountainous area at an altitude of about 900 m above sea level, and is considered to be a well-preserved example of Roman town planning.
