International Folklore Festival is annually held in Lefkada for almost 50 years. At the last week of August, here come folk dance groups from five continents

> Holidays in Greece. Lefkada, Folk Festival. International Folklore Festival is annually held in Lefkada for almost 50 years. At the last week of August, here come folk dance groups from five continents - approximately 800 choreographers, dancers, singers, musicians, etc. Festival begins with grand parade, and then, during the whole week one can watch performances of different groups, at both indoor and outdoor grounds of the city. At a final ceremony takes place gifts exchange and a final dance of peace, performing by all groups. Thank to this Festival, thousands of tourists can enjoy folk art and cultural heritage of different countries.
