No Leave No Life returns to TV screens
Season three of the No Leave No Life television show will be beamed in to living rooms across the country this Saturday night encouraging Australians to use their 129 million days of accumulated annual leave to take a holiday in Australia.
Following on from the success of the two previous series, the No Leave No Life television program is returning this summer to showcase some of Australia’s best travel experiences.
The No Leave No Life program will feature every day hard working Aussies being surprised with a trip to their dream Australian destination.
The Minister for Tourism, Martin Ferguson AM MP, said the No Leave No Life series is a clear demonstration of the successful cooperative domestic marketing activity by Tourism Australia working with States, Territories and the industry.
“Over seven weeks, the No Leave No Life series will show an estimated six million Australians that some of the best holiday memories can be generated on our shores,” Minister Ferguson said.
“The high Australian dollar and cheaper airfares are seeing an unprecedented number of Australians travelling overseas for their holidays, No Leave No Life is a reminder to consider using the Christmas break to rest and relax and spend time with friends and family closer to home.
“Domestic tourism is the life blood of Australia’s $34 billion tourism industry accounting for almost three quarters of all tourism spending, every trip taken in Australia helps support over half a million Australian jobs- including in regional and remote areas.
“No Leave No Life will help remind Australians about what a great place this is for a holiday. We have high quality food and wine; some of the planet’s leading luxury lodges in Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island and Tasmania’s Saffire Freycinet, Qualia in the Whitsundays and Wolgan Valley Resort and Spa in the Blue Mountains, just to name a few; we have exceptional natural landscapes such as Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef and that is partly why Australia was rated “Best Country to Visit Worldwide” at the recent British Travel Awards.”
The first two series of the No Leave No Life TV show consistently won their timeslots with over 900,000 viewers per week across metro and regional areas providing valuable advertising to Australia’s tourism industry.
