Select the country and object's type In the footsteps of Robert Burns

\'Now simmer blinks on flow\'ry braes,

And o\'er the crystal streamlet plays,

Come, let us spend the lightsome days

In the birks of Aberfeldy\'

Robert Burns, Scotland\'s national bard, was a big fan of Perthshire and Perthshire was a big fan of Robert Burns. When he immortalised the Den of Moness in verse as the \'Birks o\' Aberfeldy\' they renamed this spectacular gorge after him. The name has stuck and this easily navigable corner of Perthshire is the perfect microcosm for what this large region offers lovers of the great outdoors. Perthshire offers everything from challenging hillwalks around Glenshee through to family strolls through the Hermitage in Dunkeld. Or you could just make the short walk from the car park to appreciate the Queen\'s View, Queen Victoria\'s own favourite corner of this remarkable region.
