Holidays in Brunei. The country is situated on the island of Borneo, in south-east Asia. It shares borders with Malaysia, washed by waters of the South China Sea. This is typical of the Islamic world country. There is almost no night life. Standards of conduct are very strict. Tourists come here to learn about history of the East and its traditions. Capital's Brunei-Muara District is the most visited by tourists because of its cultural identity. The capital and the only one big city of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan, are located on the north bank of the Sung-Brunei river. There are wide roads and high-rise modern buildings, the luxurious Sultan's palace - Istana Nurul-Iman, the Mosque of Omar Ali Saifuddin (1958), a symbol of Islam in the country. All around are sandy beaches and turquoise waters of the South China Sea, emerald green of jungles and golden domes of mosques. Numerous museum display all the country’s heritage.
