March 2014 was the busiest month in the history of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. More than four million passengers traveled through Phoenix Sky Harbor in March, 4,029,861 to be exact. Every day approximately 1,200 aircraft and more than 100,000 passengers arrive and depart America’s Friendliest Airport. Sky Harbor also just got healthier. Now, travelers who have time on their hands between flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport can embark on a fitness walking trail inside of security that takes them around Terminal 4, the Airport’s busiest. The two-mile walking circuit can easily be mastered between flights. From the top of the A gates to the bottom of the D concourse, walkers can enjoy sights of Phoenix seen only from inside the airport – views of mountains, parks and man-made wonders. A handy map, points of interest, mileage and photos, are all there in a new, free brochure – PHX Fitness Trail – available at Terminal 4 information counters.
