Select the country and object's type Spaces Still Available for the Science of Chocolate: Cocoa-ology

The Maryland Science Center\'s science of adult beverage series focuses on Chocolate in February with a presentation in Cocoa-ology, led by Larry McGlinchey, chocolatier and owner of Cacao Lorenzo. The presentation will feature chocolate pairings with wines and liqueurs as well as a mild dose of history and science facts throughout the evening.

The interactive evening will begin with a journey through the history of chocolate as we explore where it comes from and how it is made. Participants will learn about different chocolate styles, from truffles and bon bons to whipped, creamy and buttery. The best time to eat your chocolate will be covered and the event will provide plenty of time for sampling throughout. The evening will conclude with various pairing stations of chocolate, wine and liqueurs.

Cocoa-ology is designed to be a fun, informative and social evening that is as appealing to novice chocolate aficionados as it is for experienced connoisseurs. Time to mingle and talk with the expert will be available before and after the presentation.

Doors open at 7pm, the presentation will run from 7:30pm to approximately 8:30pm, leaving time to mingle before and after the main portion.

Tickets are $45 per person ($40 members) and are all-inclusive, light fare, drinks, and Cocoa-ology presentation.

Spaces are still available. Reserve your seat today by calling 410-545-5980. 21+ only, please.
