Lion Cubs spotted at Jock Safari Lodge

Recently while out on a drive, 11 lion cubs were spotted very close to the lodge. We\'re monitoring them from a distance and regular updates will be available on our Facebook page. As a result of the impressive new deck at the lodge, which overlooks the riverbed, we\'re hoping this will provide an even better lookout point for our guests to enjoy this magnificent Big 5 territory.

Artist Announced for Shamwari\'s \'Pride of Cape Town\' Lion

We\'re extremely proud to announce that local artist, Andile Dylvane has joined forces with us to create a unique design for Shamwari\'s life-size fibreglass lion sculpture, which is part of the Pride of Cape Town public arts event set to launch at the V & A Waterfront in March 2013, masterminded by the Born Free Foundation and Wild in Art.

Last month saw the worldwide release of the Oscar-winning song \'Born Free\' re-recorded by legendary Queen Guitarist Brian May & West End & Broadway songstress Kerry Ellis. The classic hit single will be sold in aid of the international wildlife charity, the Born Free Foundation.
