Select the country and object's type Unique Gift Giving Made Easy

Everyone has someone on their gift list that is either very difficult to buy for or it’s a person they really want to impress. Finding the perfect item can be tedious at best. There is no need to stress about it because the Arkansas Craft Guild has the solution to your problem.

The organization’s 34th annual Christmas Showcase is December 7-9 in Hall IV of the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Over 100 members of the group along with their guests will display and sell their handcrafted pieces.

Both traditional and contemporary fine arts and crafts are offered. You’ll be able to choose from pottery, woodworking, fiber art, photography, jewelry, gourmet foods and fiber art, just to name a few. Also available will be basketry, weavings, and glassware.

Hours are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 at the door. An Early Bird Shopper’s Special on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. has free admission.

The guild began as a cooperative in 1962 in Mountain View to promote and preserve the traditional crafts of Arkansas, as well as build a market for high quality handmade products and provide a collaborative environment where craftsmen and women could share information and explore further development of their art. Works by members are juried and held to a high standard of quality. The organization has a gallery on Mountain View’s historic Court Square.
