Marking the occasion of 150 years ofthe birth of the famous Austrian painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) the exhibition \"Klimt in Belgrade\" is organized from 31 October to 13 November in Belgrade’s “Progres” gallery, at the corner of Knez Mihailova Street and Zmaj Jovina Street.
Visitors of this extraordinary exhibition, which has already toured several cities in eastern and southern Europe, will have the opportunity to see famous masterpieces “Kiss”, “Emilie Floge”, “Adele Bloh-Bauer“, and discover the ingeniousness of works of this artist and one of the initiators of the Vienna Secession movement.
The exhibition includes also the replicas of paintings “Hygeia” and “The Women Friends II”, since the originals were lost in fire at the Immendorf Castle in southern Austria in 1945.
