Art Home New Orleans is once again opening doors to the city\'s elegant and eclectic homes and studios for the 3rd Annual weekend of tours presented by the Creative Alliance of New Orleans, (CANO).

What: Art Home New Orleans is an annual self-guided public tour, this year on November 3rd and 4th from 12-5pm. The tour highlights emerging artists as well as works in private art collections. One participant said of last year\'s tour: \"You can go to galleries and museums anytime, but to meet the artists and see the art in private collections brings out the essence of the city.\"

When and Where: The tour includes homes and studios citywide on Saturday, November 3rd and in the Lower 9th Ward on Sunday, November 4th, from 12pm to 5pm on both days.

How: With the purchase of tickets, tour participants receive a map that guides them through the city visiting these vibrant, private locations. Tickets are $15/day and $25/weekend. Student tickets are $10/day. Tickets can be purchased online at cano-la.org or by calling 504.218.4807. See a video of last year\'s tour here.

Why: The current New Orleans cultural scene is now characterized by unprecedented innovation and collaboration. CANO wants to make this new scene and work more accessible to visitors and residents alike. Art Home New Orleans (1) Enriches the New Orleans cultural experience of visitors and residents and broadens their understanding of the city\'s rich cultural legacy and new artistic offerings, encouraging repeat visits; (2) showcases the work of New Orleans based artists of all disciplines in visual, design, media, performing and culinary arts; and (3) helps demystify the \"art\" of collecting, encouraging the collection of the art works of area artists.

Who: Creative Alliance of New Orleans in partnership with artists and art collectors throughout New Orleans. Some participating artists this year are Bruce Davenport, Jr., Jessica Bizer, Nicole Charbonnet, Sheila Phipps and more! CANO\'s mission is to provide training, education, and information for creative artists, cultural producers and the community, to protect our cultural legacy and to promote the revitalization of the city as a cultural and economic center.
