GRAND CANYON WEST (August 13, 2012) One of the world’s highest circulated publications from the United Kingdom, Daily Mirror, has listed the Grand Canyon Skywalk as one of the top skywalks in the world. The top skywalks were voted by members of virtualtourist.com, a leading travel website. Located at Grand Canyon West’s Eagle Point, the Skywalk is the only place where visitors can step out onto a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon Skywalk was listed among five other well-known skywalks: The Ledge, Willis Tower, Chicago, USA; CN Tower, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Skywalk on Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China; Shanghai World Financial Center, China; and Top of Tyrol, Stubai Glacier, Austria. Making this list will add to the growing number of honors the Grand Canyon Skywalk has received over the years including Popular Science’s “Best of What’s New,” Budget Travel’s “15 places kids should see by age 15”and, earlier in 2012, Travel + Leisure’s “Best New Bridge” to name a few.
