Select the country and object's type New Orleans Tops AAA Southern Traveler’s Annual Best of the South List for Third Consecutive Year Recognized as Best Large City for a Weekend Getaway, Best Large Hotel, Best Bed & Breakfast, Best Attraction, Best Brunch and Best Fine Dining

New Orleans was named the Best Large City for a Weekend Getaway for the third consecutive year, once again establishing the city as a premiere destination for travelers. Additionally, several members of the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau and its industry partners were recognized for excellence.

AAA Southern Traveler’s Best of the South included New Orleans as a “runner up” for Best Gaming Destination and Brennan’s Restaurant was recognized as a “runner up” for Best Sunday Brunch.

AAA Southern Traveler readers were asked to select their southern favorites in 17 categories. From there, three finalists were selected in each category and readers were asked to select the winners through the official poll. Results will be published in the AAA Southern Traveler July/August 2012 issue.
