Do you feel lucky? Or do you think you’re a good amateur fisherman? You can test your skills during the 13th annual Arkansas Big Bass Bonanza June 29-July 1, where $100,000 is on the line. The three-day event spans approximately 300 miles of the Arkansas River from Fort Smith on the western border to Dumas in southeast Arkansas. Official check-in stations are located at Fort Smith, Dardanelle, Little Rock/North Little Rock, Pine Bluff and the Pendleton Bridge near Dumas.

An added incentive this year is that the winner of the overall largest fish caught earns a spot in the 2013 Bassmaster Open. The BBB is the country’s largest amateur fishing tournament. Cash prizes this year include: $50,000 for the largest fish overall; $10,000 for the largest fish overall in each of the remaining four pools; and place money for overall winner per pool, with $900 for second place, $700 for third and $400 for fourth. Hourly prize money for first, second and third place is determined by the number of tournament registrants.

The event is open to the public for free and spectators are welcome at any location.
