Howling Coyote Coffeehouse & Open Mic

A staple of the downtown ArtRamble since February of 2006, the Howling Coyote started out as a jam session for local musicians and quickly grew into a showcase featuring some of finest talent Las Cruces has to offer. The monthly event now makes the Rio Grande Theatre its home and continues to feature primarily acoustic musicians, singers and songwriters with family-appropriate material. Showtime is 7pm. Nunset Boulevard

Driftwood Productions presents the seventh in the award-winning Nunsense series by playwright Dan Goggin, which follows the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they travel to Tinseltown to sing at the Hollywood Bowl. They are thrilled at the prospect until they arrive and realize that they are booked into the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama---a bowling alley with a cabaret lounge - and not the famed \"Bowl\" they were planning on. Still, the show must go on and these sisters have a few tricks up their sleeves to make the evening unforgettable. Show times are 8pm on Friday and Saturday; 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are $10. Every Other Tuesday: Al Galves

Local thespian and singer, Al Galves will take the stage singing \"Songs That I Love\" with musical accompanist Scott McClain. Film Las Cruces

The Rio Grande Theatre and the City of Las Cruces Film Liaison present a monthly film forum on the second Wednesday of each month, in which trailers for locally made films are screened alongside short films by student filmmakers, followed by Q&A sessions with the filmmakers and industry news as it pertains to our area. Centennial Choral Celebration

The Mesilla Valley Chorale and the Albuquerque Civic Chorus join forces to present a concert which will include works about New Mexico, by New Mexico composers. Both choral groups have a long, successful history in their respective communities. Additional music will be provided by local chorale group Singing Out. Tickets are $10. Missoula Children\'s Theatre presents \"Beauty Lou And The Country Beast\"

The classic fairy tale about lonely beast who falls in love with a beautiful girl is given a country twist as Missoula Children\'s Theatre brings their annual production to Las Cruces, starring over 60 local children ranging in age from 5 to 18. On Exhibit in the El Paso Electric Gallery

Items celebrating 30 years of theatrical productions under the direction of the late Art Haggerton will be showcased in the El Paso Electric Gallery, South of the Rio Grande Theatre lobby, for the month of June, 2012. Featured in the exhibit will be costumes, posters, programs and photographs spanning three decades and including such recognizable productions as Nunsense, The King & I, Grease, Annie and many more. The exhibit will run through the month of June 2012, beginning with an artist reception on June 1, from 5 to 7pm, as part of the Downtown Art Ramble.

Also included that evening will be the Howling Coyote Coffeehouse/Open Mic, beginning at 7pm. On permanent display in the Clute/Muggenburg Gallery are memorabilia and photos from the Rio Grande Theatre\'s long and illustrious reign in downtown Las Cruces.
