Lecture Series: Made in New Mexico Westerns, Part 4

May 10, 7 p.m.

Las Cruces film reviewer Jeff Berg will continue his popular series about Westerns filmed in New Mexico. Part 4 features films such as \"The Man From Laramie,\" \"Heaven With a Gun,\" \"My Name is Nobody,\" \"City Slickers,\" \"Death Hunt,\" \"Silverado\" and many more. Berg will show clips of the movies and discuss their connection to New Mexico. Admission is a suggested donation of $2.

Tree & Shrub Sale

May 12, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Museum\'s Greenhouse will be the site of another spring plant sale. This one will mainly feature trees and shrubs, but will also include some flowers. Those attending the plant sale only are not charged admission.

Blessing of the Fields

May 15, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The museum will celebrate an old, historical tradition with the annual Blessing of the Fields. The colorful, music-filled procession around the museum\'s campus to bless the animals, orchards and vineyard will be led by Bishop Ricardo Ramirez. The procession begins about 10 a.m. and will last about an hour. The Las Cruces Catholic School Praise Band will be part of the procession and the Las Cruces Catholic School Ballet Folklorico Colores de Cristo group will perform dances after the procession. Admission to participate in the procession is free.
