JUVIA: A Sanctuary for the Senses Slated to Open at the 1111 Lincoln Road Building on South Beach, February 2012: Juvia is the beautiful new 10,000 square foot indoor/outdoor restaurant and lounge located on the penthouse level of the 1111 Lincoln Road, adjacent to the architecturally-stunning Herzog & de Meuron building on South Beach. Overseeing the kitchen will be a team of talented chefs: executive chef Laurent Cantineaux, a protégé of celebrated chef Daniel Boulud; executive chef Sunny Oh, who was at the helm of Nobu Restaurant on South Beach for more than a decade; executive sous chef Kaoru Chang, also a Nobu alum and corporate pastry chef Gregory Gourreau, who worked alongside iconic toques Alain Ducasse and Francois Payard. Juvia’s menu – a harmonious blend of the regional cuisines of Asia prepared with classic French techniques and the vibrant flavors and ingredients of South America and Florida – will offer diners an abundant selection of ceviches, tiraditos, fresh seafood and prime meats, served tapas-style. Named after the indigenous Brazilian nut tree that nourished a culture, Juvia will be accessed via an entrance on Lincoln Road with an over-sized door leading to the restaurant’s private elevators. MIA SETS NEW RECORDS FOR ANNUAL AND DAILY PASSENGERS: Miami International Airport reached a new all-time high for annual passenger traffic in 2011 with 38.3 million passengers and an increase of 7.3 percent over 2010, according to recently released statistics from the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. International passengers led the way with a nine-percent increase over 2010 to 18.4 million travelers, while domestic passengers also surged by 5.8 percent to nearly 19.9 million. Despite projections from industry association Airlines for America, formerly known as Air Transport Association of America, for a one-percent decline in air travel nationwide from December 21 to January 8 (http://www.airlines.org/Pages/news_12-20-2011.aspx), MIA drew more than 2.2 million passengers during the 21-day travel period for an increase of 8.7 percent. MIA’s busier-than-projected travel season helped the airport surpass the 38 million passenger mark for the first time ever on December 30 and also included a new single-day passenger record at MIA - more than 135,000 passengers on January 2, 2012.

PREMIER SOUTH BEACH HOTEL, FORMALLY KNOWN AS GANSEVOORT, PURCHASED BY STARWOOD CAPITAL GROUP, LEFRAK ORGANIZATION AND INVESCO: A consortium consisting of affiliates of Starwood Capital Group, the LeFrak Organization and Invesco Ltd. announced today that they have jointly purchased one of South Beach, Miami\'s premier luxury mixed‐use properties, including a hotel formally known as the Gansevoort. The property consists of 334 hotel rooms, 255 condo units totaling 294,000 square feet, 90,000 square feet of retail space including a 42,000 square foot David Barton Gym, three outdoor swimming pools, and multiple indoor and outdoor food and beverage venues. The property also includes a 26,000 square foot rooftop pool and lounge with sweeping ocean views, a 32,000 square foot elevated pool plaza and restaurant, and a 48,000 square foot private beach. The property occupies the entire block between 23rd and 24th Sts. on Collins Ave. and enjoys more than 600 linear feet of beach frontage. The consortium is planning to invest more than $100 million in an extensive renovation of the overall property while repositioning it as one of the premier hotel and

condo destinations in Miami Beach. The 334‐room hotel will be renamed The Perry South Beach until it is re‐launched in late 2013 with a new brand after an extensive renovation. InterContinental Miami Goes 100% Green with Wind Power: Luxury hotel InterContinental Miami today announced that it has partnered with Greenlight Energy to purchase 15,467,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of wind power in 2012. The purchase is part of a broader corporate-wide sustainability strategy and makes InterContinental Miami the largest green power purchaser in Florida to be named to the most recent 100% Purchaser’s List maintained by the EPA’s Green Power Partnership. The purchase also earns the luxury hotel membership in the Partnership’s prestigious Leadership Club. The EPA\'s Green Power Partnership is an industry-government partnership that helps increase the use of green power among leading U.S. organizations. Currently, there are over 1,300 EPA Green Power Partners that are collectively buying nearly 21 billion kWh of green power annually.
