Ranger Led Nature Hike every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 3:00 PM

Bird Tour: Saturday January 7th, 14th, and 21st at 8:15 AM

Becoming a Birder Series January 28th at 8:15 AM

For all hikes please bring binoculars, water, sunscreen and wear hiking shoes.

TALKS:

January 28th: River of Life or Death: Naturalist Richard Quick will discuss how the fish and other local wildlife are affected by the low water levels this winter. Talk will begin in the park classroom at 10 am and will continue on the park trails near the drain and ponds.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Trail Dedication: Join park staff and volunteers as we cut the ribbon dedicating the newly redesigned Resaca Trail complete with a Self Guiding Trail booklet. This newly redesigned trail will allow visitors to stroll the trail at their own pace spotting and reading about various points of interest along the way. Also being dedicated is the new pond shade structure designed and constructed by Eagle Scout candidate Gavin Hill of Boy Scout Troop 484. Ribbon cutting will commence at 10 am on January 21st.

All Events are Free with a Valid Park Pass

Winter Hours (September 1, 2011 - March 31, 2012): Monday - Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM

For More information contact LuAnn Tafoya 575-523-4398. All Events are Free with a Valid Park Pass. Daily entrance fee is $5 per vehicle. Annual Day passes are available for $40. 5000 Calle del Norte, Mesilla, NM 88046. Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park will be closed New Years Day.
