Las Cruces Field of Dreams to Host Half Marathon

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The United States Runners Association and Reinke Sports Group are bringing their half marathon running series to the Field of Dreams in Las Cruces on Dec. 4.

This is the second year in a row that the half marathon will come to Las Cruces, and it is the only half marathon in the series that takes place in the Southwest. Last year\'s event had over 425 participants. The event includes a 5K and a fun run, with awards running three deep in 12 age categories. Other events include a post race celebration with live music and refreshments.

The USRA has 30 half marathons with 5Ks and a marathon that take place in small and mid sized cities in different regions of the country. This is the USRA Half Marathon Series\' fourth year, and it takes place in 30 states, with plans to expand to all 50 states within five years.
