Howling Coyote Coffeehouse & Open Mic

A staple of the downtown ArtRamble since February of 2006, the Howling Coyote started out as a jam session for local musicians and quickly grew into a showcase featuring some of finest talent Las Cruces has to offer. The monthly event now makes the Rio Grande Theatre its home and continues to feature primarily acoustic musicians, singers and songwriters with family-appropriate material. NMSU Outdoor Rec presents Warren Miller: Like There\'s No Tomorrow

NMSU Outdoor Rec\'s Adventure Arts Series continues with an all new season, showcasing documentaries and guest lecturers on topics ranging from pressing environmental issues to extreme outdoor sports. This fall, Warren Miller Entertainment brings you its 62nd winter sports film. Hosted by skiing icon Jonny Moseley and shot on location in India, New Zealand, Chile, Alaska, British Columbia and beyond, Like There\'s No Tomorrow is your annual reminder that winter is on its way and, with it, four months of an adrenaline-fueled dance with gravity. Road To Freedom Premiere

The Southwest premiere of a full-length feature film, based in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge War and co-produced by local filmmakers. The true story of journalist Sean Flynn, son of movie star Errol Flynn, who braved the conflict in 1970 to seek out the truth and was never heard from again. The premiere will start off with live music and a guest journalist speaking on the topic of the Pol Pot Genocide of the 1970\'s. A contest will also be held by the producers, with prizes including an all-expense paid trip to Cambodia, a 1970\'s Honda Motorcycle and cash prizes. Showtime is 7pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm. A continuation of the Southwest premiere of a full-length feature film, based in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge War and co-produced by local filmmakers. This screening will feature Vietnam Vets speaking on the War, with guest journalists speaking on the issues in Southeast Asia during the 70s. The New Mexico State University Gospel Choir will also be on hand to perform before the screening. Showtime is 4pm, with doors opening at 3:30pm. The conclusion of the Southwest premiere of a full-length feature film, based in Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge War and co-produced by local filmmakers. This screening will feature an appearance by director, Brendan Moriarty, along with members of the cast and crew of the production during a live Q&A afterwards. On Exhibit in the El Paso Electric Gallery

Steve Hornung, Michelle Arterburn and Elaine Querry

The diverse works of three very different artists will be on display in the El Paso Electric Gallery, South of the Rio Grande Theatre lobby, for the month of November, 2011. Titanium jewler Steve Hornung, painter Michelle Arterburn and fine art photographer Elaine Querry will share the gallery space, providing a wide assortment of visual arts to choose from. The exhibit will run through the month of November 2011, beginning with an artist reception on November 4, from 5 to 7pm, as part of the Downtown Art Ramble.

Also included that evening will be the regular Literary Open Mic in the Rio Grande Theatre auditorium, from 5:30 to 7pm, followed by the Howling Coyote Coffeehouse/Open Mic, directly afterwards. On permanent display in the Clute/Muggenburg Gallery are memorabilia and photos from the Rio Grande Theatre\'s long and illustrious reign in downtown Las Cruces.
