In order to better serve your needs and to keep you from getting extremely long documents from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, we have decided to break down our Travelin’ Arkansas release into regions organized by date. This way you will be able to look only at the areas you are interested in covering. The territories covered in Travelin\' Arkansas adhere to the six geographical regions found in the Arkansas Tour Guide. Conductor Kermit Poling leads the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra for Haydn Seek Nov. 5 in Magnolia. During the performance enjoy Respighi\'s Ancient Airs and Dances No. 3 and listen to two soloists perform a Bach concerto. Haydn Symphony No. 94 \"Surprise\" ends the performance. Civil War Weekend is Nov. 5-6 at Historic Washington State Park in Washington. Reenactors from across the region present living history demonstrations, including combat scenarios, throughout the weekend. Tours of the many historic homes and buildings of the town and surrey rides are available. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for kids. A production of Out of the Mist...A Dragon is Nov 15 at the Paul W. Klipsch Auditorium in Hope. This puppet theater tells a story of magic and adventure via the use of traditional folk puppets from cultures from around the world. Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for students K-college. The Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources in Smackover showcases Holiday Light Extravaganza each Friday and Saturday night at Oil Field Park from Nov 18-Dec 23. The lights are on from 6-8 p.m. and each lighted scene represents the sights of the winter holiday season. Visit the Ice Castle and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa in the museum gift shop.
