Select the country and object's type Suzanne Kane to Speak at Las Cruces Museum of Art

The Las Cruces Museum of Art continues its \"Speaking of Art\" lecture series with ceramic artist Suzanne Kane on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. \"Speaking of Art\" features regional artists discussing their work on the third Saturday of each month. It is open to the public and admission is free.

Suzanne Kane received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from Michigan State University in 1980 and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics from New Mexico State University in 1998. In between the two degrees, she taught art in public elementary schools and created a production line of ceramic hardware. Since her full immersion into the field of ceramic sculpture, Ms. Kane has exhibited nationally and has received numerous awards in California, Kansas, Colorado, and New Mexico.

In 2009, she completed a residency at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana and continues as a ceramics instructor at New Mexico State University. Ms. Kane is one of the featured artists in this year\'s juried ceramic show \"From the Ground Up XXV,\" sponsored by the Las Cruces Potter\'s Guild and the Las Cruces Museum of Art.
