Las Cruces, N.M. - At the Rio Grande Theatre, everything old is new again! In order to better accommodate audiences who have asked that a later start time be considered for the popular Every Other Tuesday showcase, The Doña Ana Arts Council has decided to bump the program from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., beginning Aug. 23, 2011.

To kick off the showcase in its new timeslot with style, the Remember Then Band will rock the Rio Grande Theatre stage and, hopefully, bring their \"classic\" appeal to a whole new audience.

\"We\'re hoping to inject a whole new energy into the Every Other Tuesday talent showcase,\" said theatre manager, David Salcido. \"It\'s a program that has always been a favorite of mine, because it introduces audiences to some of the amazing musical talent that can be found here in Las Cruces. Unfortunately, because of its 5:30 timeslot, we never quite got the numbers the program deserves. I was always having people come up to me and say, \'if EOT started a little later, I would definitely come, but I don\'t always have time to run to the theatre straight from work.\' Now, at the new, later time, we\'re hoping to bring more people in to experience what we already know is the best talent showcase in the city! And what better way to do it, than with the Remember When Band?\"

Guaranteed to knock your bobby socks off, Remember Then is now in its fourth year as a golden era tribute band. Amazing audiences with outstanding vocal ability, the show features seven members singing top hits from the 50\'s & 60\'s in perfect harmony, accompanied by background instruments featuring stand-up bass, piano, guitar, trumpet, saxophone and percussion to further add to the authenticity and re-creation of pop tunes from the era.

\"Every Other Tuesday\" is a FREE performance series produced by the Doña Ana Arts Council beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Historic Rio Grande Theatre at 211 N. Main Street in Las Cruces, NM.
