Select the country and object's type Las Cruces to Hold Women's State Softball Tournament

Las Cruces, N.M. - Las Cruces will be host to the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA) New Mexico Women's State Softball Championship this weekend with teams competing from all over New Mexico.

The tournament will feature 38 teams competing in three divisions labeled C, D and E. The divisions represent level of ability, with C being the top level in New Mexico, and D and E being mostly recreational.

There will be a coach's meeting Friday evening at 6 p.m., and the games will start Saturday morning at 8 a.m. The tournament will take place at the Harty Complex and Paz Park, with championship games scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Some New Mexico cities being represented at the USSSA championship include Albuquerque, Artesia, Hobbs, Ruidoso, Roswell, Clovis and Alamogordo. Seven teams from Las Cruces will also be competing.
