Cruise line launches Caribbean Bonus Week in Continental Europe with on-board credits of up to U.S. $200

Wiesbaden, August 26, 2013 – Unspoilt white sand beaches and turquoise water, colourful schools of fish, Mayan temples and lush tropical forests – in the coming winter season 2013/14, Norwegian Cruise Line’s modern fleet stands ready to take guests to the prime Caribbean attractions and more. Departing from Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, New York and Boston, the cruises that range from 2 to 15 nights, offer guests the chance to combine the hustle and bustle of a big city with relaxed island-hopping in the Caribbean. And Norwegian Cruise Line’s own Freestyle Cruising® contributes to this relaxed experience, thanks for example to Freestyle Dining with no fixed dining times or pre-assigned seating. A varied activity programme on board with sports, spa and world-class entertainment as well as a huge range of shore excursions ensure that every guest can enjoy a holiday according to his or her preferences.

Among the line’s nine ships sailing the Caribbean is the brand new Norwegian Getaway which will start her inaugural season on February 8, 2014 and offer 7-night cruises from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean year-round. Being developed as “Miami’s ship”, Norwegian Getaway will feature ground-breaking entertainment, among others with the first GRAMMY® Experience at sea, The Illusionarium, an all-new dining and entertainment experience and the musical Legally Blonde, along with 26 dining choices, an Aqua Park with five thrilling water slides and a variety of flexible accommodation choices ranging from Studios specially designed for solo travellers, to balcony and family staterooms and opulent suites in The Haven, the ultimate in luxury.

Other options include the line’s biggest ship to date, Norwegian Epic, which sets sail from Miami for 7-night cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from November 2013 to April 2014. Longer cruises from Miami on board Norwegian Sun to the Southern Caribbean are also available along with repositioning cruises between Tampa and Boston of 12 and 14 nights. Cruises from New York include 7-night Bahamas & Florida sailings on board Norwegian Breakaway, which premiered this year, as well as Norwegian Gem along with 12-night Southern Caribbean and 9-night Eastern Caribbean cruises.

And to make the Caribbean experience even more rewarding, the cruise line launches its new Caribbean Bonus Week, which offers guests booking between August 28 and September 3, 2013 a Caribbean cruise of the 2013/14 season of 7 nights or longer on board Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Gem or one of Norwegian Getaway’s Caribbean cruises on-board credits of up to U.S. $200 per stateroom. The on-board credit varies according to the stateroom category booked. Guests choosing a Studio, an inside or an oceanview stateroom receive U.S. $50 per stateroom, a balcony stateroom is eligible for U.S. $75 per stateroom, a Mini Suite yields U.S. $100 per stateroom and Suite guests enjoy U.S. $200 per stateroom. The on-board credit can be used toward any purchase on board, be it an open-air dinner on The Waterfront in celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s Ocean Blue or an exciting sail and snorkel excursion on a Caribbean island.
