Gear up all you shoppers. Get your highway map or GPS locator ready, put on comfortable shoes, gas up the vehicle, and make sure you have money in your pocket. It’s time for the 14th annual Bargains Galore on 64. This 160-mile-long shop-a-thon is going to be Aug. 8-10. Starting at the state’s western border, the communities taking place this year are Fort Smith, Van Buren, Alma, Ozark, Altus, Clarksville, Russellville, Atkins, Morrilton, Conway, Vilonia and Beebe. All are located along U.S. highway 64. Additional participating communities include Blackwell, Coal Hill, Dyer, El Paso, Hartman, Knoxville, Lamar, London, Menifee, Mulberry, Plumerville and Pottsville.

Visitors are encouraged to look for the yellow sale signs noting where the event is taking place. There will be yard sales, antiques, collectibles and flea markets. Some locations may have food vendors. Bargains Galore on 64 has been named a “Travel Treasure” by Southern Traveler magazine.
